Event description:
*PLEASE pre-register at https://goo.gl/qbDrkB* There is nothing to warm you up on a cold winter night like Japanese curry served over steaming hot rice! A little spicy, a little sweet, rich and made with potatoes, carrots, and onions, this dish has become one of Japan’s most popular since being introduced in the 1800s. Today, Japanese curry has as many flavors as there are households. Adding tonkatsu - fried pork cutlet - is also extremely popular and adds even more deliciousness to curry. Not only for many Japanese citizens, but also for the Japanese diaspora around the world (especially in the States), curry has become one of those dishes that reminds them not only of their heritage but also their family. Many Japanese Americans have grown up eating curry, tying them to their cultural homeland regardless of where they live. We hope that you and your friends will be able to join us for a small taste into the many unique flavors that JASU has to offer. Price: Curry (vegetarian) - $6 (preregister) / $8 (at the door) Curry w/ tonkatsu - $7 (preregister) / $9 (at the door) Time slots: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM *Just a reminder that everyone in a group needs to register on the Google Form!
