Take a Trip: It's on us
Would you like to listen and meet some of your favorite writers and thinkers in NYC? The AACC will be sponsoring 5 students to attend the Brooklyn's best alternative literary festivals: the third annual PAGE TURNER: The Asian American Literary Festival on Saturday Oct 29 (11am-7pm). The all-day line-up features many award-winning writers, including Junot Díaz, Amitav Ghosh, Kimiko Hahn, Hari Kunzru, Teju Cole, Jayne Anne Phillips, and many others. The evening will end with a stage reading directed by Ralph Peňa to honor the recipient of this year's Asian American Lifetime Achievement Award, the legendary Jessica Hagedorn.

The AACC will sponsor an All-Day Pass (does not include the Afterword Party) for each student. The student will have to pay for transportation to and from NYC.

Take a Tour: It's on us
Would you like to have a private tour of the Yale Center for British Art's brand new exhibition? Enter a chance to win AACC's lottery to view "Adapting the Eye: An Archive of the British in India, 1770-1830" on Saturday October 29 at 1pm. The tour will be followed by some delicious froyo from Froyo World!

About the exhibition:
Adapting the Eye explores the complex and multifaceted networks of British and Indian professional and amateur artists, patrons, and scholars in British India in the later eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, and their drive to create and organize knowledge for both aesthetic and political purposes.
Are you interested in meeting a Yalie in the Asian American community? Do you want to have an exhilarating chat over a cup of coffee? Do you love froyo, mochi, and everything in between? The AACC wants to give you the opportunity to meet new people over a delightful snack!

You will receive an email in the next couple of weeks about the person you have been paired with for AACC Serendipity. Once you have set up a time to meet, you will contact the AACC, and additional information will be provided on how to claim your free gift certificate.
AACC Serendipity will be happening throughout the semester, so anytime you want to meet a new face, all you have to do is send your contact info!
